About Shiatsu
In Shiatsu sessions, physical pressure is gently applied to your body along energetic pathways, stimulating the flow of vital energy in your organs. The free flow of energy in your system then induce deep relaxation and clear the path for healing to happen naturally.
What happens during the Shiatsu session?
The session begins with a friendly conversation and a discussion of your condition. Afterward, you will lie down on a custom-made futon mattress at floor level. The practitioner will sit beside you on the futon and apply firm but gentle pressure to different parts of your body, promoting relaxation and energy flow. You will be encouraged to relax, enjoy the experience, and communicate if anything feels uncomfortable. After about 50 minutes, the practitioner will conclude the session,
giving you time to collect your energy and prepare to continue your day.
Things to note:
Shiatsu is done with clothes on. There is no use of oils in Shiatsu, and no requirement to touch exposed skin.
