Shiatsu

In Shiatsu sessions, focused and gentle pressure is applied to the body along energetic pathways, stimulating the flow of vital energy within the organs. This flow of energy helps to rebalance the body, induce deep relaxation, and create space for natural healing to occur.

What happens during the Shiatsu session?

The session begins with a discussion of your condition. You’ll then lie down on a custom-made futon mattress at floor level, covered with a clean sheet. The practitioner will be beside you on the futon, applying focused, firm yet gentle pressure to various areas of your body to encourage energy flow and deep relaxation. After about 50 minutes, the session will conclude, giving you time to gather yourself and prepare to continue your day.

Things to note:

In Shiatsu there is no use of oils and no requirement to remove clothes. It is preferrable to arrive at the Shiatsu session with comfortable and loose clothes.
